Toddler Teacher
Growing Learners is looking for a committed, positive Teacher to complement our qualified workforce of educators.
We are currently hiring for our Toddler program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching with an ability to reach out to students and create a relationship of mutual trust. They will know how to organize a class and make learning a fun and meaningful process. The goal is to help cultivate the students’ interest in education and be their dedicated ally in the entire process of learning and development.
Ideal candidates will have their CDA, or a degree in Early childhood education or related field.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
Locations: Portland, Falmouth
Responsibilities

Provide learning opportunities using the project approach

Provide a safe and nurturing environment

Update the IPAD with daily information

Assess and record students’ progress using teaching strategies

Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom

Collaborate with other teachers, and parents

Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events

Observe and understand students’ behavior and psyche and report suspicions of neglect, abuse etc.

Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences etc.

Substitute Teacher
Growing Learners is searching for Spring/Summer substitutes to cover staff vacation time.
This is an ideal position for a college student looking for Summer work. There is also the opportunity to stay on part time during school as well.
The successful candidate will enjoy teaching young children, working as part of a team, and have good communication skills.
