Expectations
The Center Director is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the center, ensuring a nurturing, high-quality learning environment for children, and providing supportive leadership for staff. This role includes:

Managing daily administrative tasks

Supporting and supervising center staff

Collaborating with the leadership team and business owners

Building strong relationships with families and children from diverse backgrounds

Ensuring compliance with State of Maine licensing rules and regulations

Upholding all mandatory reporting and safety policies
Qualifications

CDA, degree in Early Childhood Education, or a combination of college credits and relevant experience

Proven management or supervisory experience in a childcare or early education setting

Strong organizational and communication skills

Commitment to inclusive and respectful family partnerships

Knowledge of Maine’s child care licensing standards
